Virginia Stage Company and Virginia Arts Festival are co-producing a new production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest with the music of Sibelius. This fully staged new theatrical production with Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Virginia Symphony Chorus, will be conducted by JoAnn Faletta. Sibelius’ incidental music for The Tempest is considered by many as one of his greatest achievements. To accommodate the size of this production, the performances will be held in Norfolk’s Chrysler Hall.
