by Arthur Miller
Universal in scope, this American classic is as relevant today as it was when it won the Tony Award in 1947. It is the work that established Miller as a leading American playwright. Set in post-World War II middle America, a shameful secret threatens to tear the Keller family apart in this powerful and moving play about fathers and sons, the demands of war, and the conflict between business ethics and personal responsibility. In this year celebrating the Miller centennial, Virginia Stage Company is thrilled to present this landmark drama that remains timely as it examines the price of the American Dream.
